Piano lessons cover basic to intermediate piano technique and repertoire. IVA teaches students to read music and read piano note for note as well as how to play chords and read charts for popular music. IVA intends for students to enjoy piano and create a life-long love of the instrument so they can use it to perform or to make music with family and friends. IVA’s lessons are tailored for beginners and aspiring singer-songwriters rather than students aspiring to become concert pianists.

IVA
IVA is a Swedish-American crossover artist, singer songwriter, opera singer, bandleader, and composer. Trained at Princeton, Juilliard, and the Manhattan School of Music, she teaches voice at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, The Brooklyn Music School, and has a thriving private studio, allowing singers to learn from multiple vocal techniques to find their authentic voice. She’s based in Brooklyn, New York, and Delaware, where she is steward for a home on a National Park.
